Brewing Instructions

CATTEA® Brewing Instructions｜Taiwan Premium Herbal Fruit Tea Series
▍Hot Brew：Pour 350 ml of hot water (98°C) evenly over the tea bag, steep for 8 min. The longer it steeps, the more fragrant and mellow it becomes.
▍Cold Brew：Pour 450 ml of room temperature water, and cold brew for 6-8 hr. or more.
▍Iced Tea：First, pour 180 ml of hot water (100°C) evenly over the tea bag, steep for 5-10 min. and stir to accelerate extraction, then add edible ice cubes and shake until the tea cools down. 

 

✱ Since CATTEA® herbal fruit teas are free of artificial flavors and fragrances, it is recommended to reduce the water volume and extend the steeping time for each re-steep to fully extract the pure flavor of natural flowers, herbs, and fruits. If the herbal fruit tea contains tea leaves, they are made from hand-picked tea leaves from the Alishan high-mountain tea region. The high-quality tea leaves do not become bitter even after prolonged steeping and can also be re-steeped.
✱ It is recommended to use soft water with a calcium carbonate content of 10-60 mg/L. The basic principle is that it should not be pure water; it must contain minerals.

▍Aids digestion, weight loss
The bromelain (pineapple protease) in pineapple is also a digestive enzyme that can break down proteins and aid digestion, promote food absorption, relieve indigestion, and improve intestinal function. The caffeine, inositol, folic acid, pantothenic acid, and aromatic substances in black tea can regulate fat and increase metabolism, thus having a certain effect on weight control.
▍Relieves stress
Black tea contains L-theanine, a non-sedative relaxant that helps the brain increase ϒ-waves to control anxiety, improve concentration, reduce stress, and improve overall body function.
▍Boosts immunity
Pineapple and roselle ingredients are rich in vitamin C and antioxidants, which help boost immunity, fight infections and diseases, and maintain good health. Bromelain in pineapple has anti-inflammatory properties that fight infections and kill bacteria.
▍Antioxidant, anti-cancer
Black tea and roselle ingredients are rich in polyphenols and tea polyphenols. These antioxidants can neutralize free radicals in the body, reduce cell damage, and slow down aging. Bromelain in pineapple can reduce oxidative stress and inflammation, thereby reducing the risk of cancer. Tea polyphenols, theophylline, vitamin C, vitamin E, as well as trace elements such as selenium, molybdenum, manganese, and germanium in black tea are also anti-cancer substances.
▍Prevents high blood pressure, high blood sugar, and high cholesterol
Bromelain in pineapple has the effect of lowering blood pressure and preventing thrombus formation, which can reduce the severity of angina and transient ischemic attacks. Substances such as glucose, arabinose, ribose complex sugars, catechins, and diphenylamine in black tea can reduce the source of blood sugar and regulate blood sugar balance in the body. Among them, catechins can dilate blood vessels and accelerate blood circulation, thereby lowering blood pressure. Stevia, as a calorie-free natural sugar substitute, also helps control blood sugar.
