Brewing Instructions

CATTEA® Brewing Instructions｜Taiwan Premium Herbal Fruit Tea Series
▍Hot Brew：Pour 350 ml of hot water (98°C) evenly over the tea bag, steep for 8 min. The longer it steeps, the more fragrant and mellow it becomes.
▍Cold Brew：Pour 450 ml of room temperature water, and cold brew for 6-8 hr. or more.
▍Iced Tea：First, pour 180 ml of hot water (100°C) evenly over the tea bag, steep for 5-10 min. and stir to accelerate extraction, then add edible ice cubes and shake until the tea cools down. 

 

✱ Since CATTEA® herbal fruit teas are free of artificial flavors and fragrances, it is recommended to reduce the water volume and extend the steeping time for each re-steep to fully extract the pure flavor of natural flowers, herbs, and fruits. If the herbal fruit tea contains tea leaves, they are made from hand-picked tea leaves from the Alishan high-mountain tea region. The high-quality tea leaves do not become bitter even after prolonged steeping and can also be re-steeped.
✱ It is recommended to use soft water with a calcium carbonate content of 10-60 mg/L. The basic principle is that it should not be pure water; it must contain minerals.

▍Refreshing and invigorating
Lemon perfume and lemongrass are rich in active ingredients such as Limonene and Citronellol, offering a crisp citrus and fresh herbal aroma. These may help to boost spirits, relieve fatigue, and enhance focus. Peppermint contains Menthol, which provides a cool and refreshing olfactory and gustatory experience, helping to soothe tension.
▍Oral Health
Peppermint's cooling menthol can freshen breath and temporarily inhibit oral odors. Lemongrass contains citronellol and flavonoids, which have certain cleansing and deodorizing effects.
▍Stress Relief
Peppermint and lemongrass are commonly found in herbal tea stress relief formulations, helping to relax emotions, alleviate headaches and feelings of stress. Mexican marigold is often used in herbal tea applications to create a gentle soothing sensation, which helps to relax the mind and maintain tranquility.
▍Promotes Digestion
Lemon perfume and peppermint are traditionally used to relieve bloating, soothe gastrointestinal discomfort, or promote intestinal motility. Lemongrass is rich in herbal polyphenols, which help regulate intestinal flora and may help improve digestive function.
▍Blood Sugar Regulation
The polyphenols in stevia help control blood sugar levels. Stevia is also a natural, calorie-free sugar substitute.
